sulfur fields »the sulfur fields are not pretty. The ground is a mud brown, though it is the hardness of a stone - it's cracked and crumbling. All over, there are small pits of steaming sulfur, all of them deathly hot if touched, or even if you seem to wander too close. Most of them are the size of a healthy horse, though there is one huge one about the size of a T-Rex's foot. All the sulfur pits seem most dangerous around mid-afternoon, when the steam has been warming in the intense sun all day; cooking under the ground. Be careful... |

wild jungle »this jungle is just as wild as the dinosaurs that inhabit it. Some trees tower over fifty feet tall, slender trunks reaching to kiss the clouds. One remarkable thing about the plants now is the color - greens jump out at you, bright and flashing. Everything looks healthy. Of course, it probably doesn't help that some leaves are five feet in length... even so, this forest is miraculously beautiful. To the dismay of some, though, it's heavily populated by smaller raptors and pudgy herbivores. |

watering pool »this is the main watering hole for the tribe-less lands. It should be, too - the pool is about ten yards wide, a jaggedly-cut circle of dark water. Clear water, at that. It feels cool and refreshing sliding down your gullet, not metallic or muddy like other watering holes. Better yet, it is extremely shallow, so you won't have to worry about sea monsters lurking beneath the gloom. A lot of carnivores do straggle in the surrounding vegetation, however. If you're observant, they're easy to spot - just don't let them catch you off guard. |

boulder quarry »the ground around the quarry is rough and knife-frosted. The pebbles dig into your paws horribly. However, the caverns that freckle the landscape provide excellent shelter if not already taken (you should check first). Most of the caves are deep and cloaked in darkness, thick and covering. Because of their depth, they block out the weather and keep you hidden from a hungry dinosaur's eyes. They also vary in sizes - anywhere from four feet to twenty. |
